Multihulls are growing and Platus are back:
“The multihull fleet looks to be going from strength-to-strength and we may be looking at a record fleet this year,” said Mr. Byron Jones, Managing Director of organisers Media Business Services Co., Ltd. (MBS).
Phuket Raceweek has seen steady growth and interest in the multihull classes over recent years and this year with three multihull classes planned, the fleet looks to be both large and competitive.
In Multihull Racing the Stealth catamarans from the Asia Catamarans yard will be out in full force including regular racers Java and Hurricane, and a new one soon-to-be-launched is expected to join the line-up.
