Following the earthquake in Kathmandu, Nepal on 25 April 2015, which resulted in injuries, death, and damage to property, Mr. Wiwat Piyawiroj, Vice President, Sales and Distribution – Thailand and Indochina Department, Thai Airways International Public Company Limited (THAI), said that THAI will waive the ticket change fee for passengers traveling to and from Kathmandu, Nepal, whose tickets were issued prior to 25 April 2015 and will travel during 25 April to 15 May 2015.


Details are as follows:

-          Waive the fee for passenger ticket refund (passengers must request refunds before 31 May 2015).

-          Waive the fee for changing flights and travel dates, where conditions apply that tickets are for travel on THAI flights.

-          Waive the fee for change of routes within the Asian region, such as New Delhi, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad, Dhaka, Kolkata, Colombo, Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad.

THAI continues to operate normal flights on the route Bangkok-Kathmandu, one daily flight per day.  Flight TG319 operates with Boeing 777-200 aircraft and departs from Bangkok at 10:15 hours and arrives in Kathmandu at 12:25 hours.  Flight TG320 departs from Kathmandu at 13:30 hours and arrives in Bangkok at 18:15 hours.
